Meeting the Lord! – 5/31/18

Meeting the Lord!…

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.

Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NLT)

Note from Kip…
The end of time is a reference that for those who haven’t secured the promise of Grace from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, brings a sense of doom and gloom.

Sadly, for those that is exactly what it brings. The rapture of God’s people and the final chapters of this earths history, will denote God’s final judgment on earth, Satan and his cronies, and those who of their own choosing, opted to turn away from the Grace and Mercy of the chosen one.

For His, this will not be the case. It will be a time of great joy and celebration as The Creator of the Universe claims His Church and all things are made new for those washed by His blood.

On that day, time will become meaningless, as we stand before the Throne of God, giving endless praise in unfettered joy and adulation. Then He will establish a new heaven and new earth, where there is no need for the sun or artificial light; for the Son will be the Light and that light will destroy the darkness. There will be no night. Nothing to count the days as there will be no more days, for this indeed is the ‘end of time’.

A place where we will abide in the final covenant where we forevermore live with God, with God in us, in constant love communion with the one who loved us first.

For the ones that chose to refuse the gift of salvation. Their ultimate doom is eternal separation from God, in a place of indescribable pain and anguish.  Unnecessarily serving out their punishment for the denial of atonement for their sin. No recourse. No opportunity to relent. So much worse than death, this second death has no end point. There is nothing to quench the suffering.

The choice is ours. We can choose eternity basking in the Glory of the Redeemer, or in constant anguish forevermore.

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels, with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations, will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Matthew 25:31-34 (HCSB)

I choose life. I choose grace. I choose Love. I choose Christ!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10 (HCSB)

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (HCSB)

God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence. But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.,

1 Corinthians 1:28-31 (HCSB)

Note from Kip…
God’s ‘basket of deplorable’?? I think maybe!

For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!

Romans 5:10 (HCSB)

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

Ephesians 2:4-5 (HCSB)

I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

John 13:34-35 (HCSB)

This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
